A simple start-up script to reset GNOME dark mode app color-scheme based on Xfce’s settings. This is useful if you use a lot of GNOME or GNOME-adjacent GTK applications under the Xfce Desktop Environment.
#!/bin/sh
theme_name=$(xfconf-query -c xsettings -p /Net/ThemeName)
if echo "$theme_name" | grep -- "-dark$" >/dev/null 2>&1; then
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface color-scheme 'prefer-dark'
else
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface color-scheme 'prefer-light'
